The Sacred Knowledge of the Tenretni People
This project started by thinking about how the internet has changed the way we transmit cultural knowledge. In ancient history, knowledge was passed down through interpersonal ritual and oral traditions. The discovery of the printing press introduced books, a kind of sacred object, into the mix. The internet changed everything. Little is sacred anymore. In this project, I wanted to recast an internet trope that you’re probably familiar with, life-hacks, as sacred. The result is a poster and icon set documenting The Sacred Knowledge of the Tenretni People.
